General assistance for texas veterans
The General Assistance for Texas Veterans Grant temporarily assistance intended to provide limited emergency assistance and financial relief to veterans who can demonstrate financial need.
Eligible beneficiaries must (at a minimum):
Home must be under Veteran of U.S. Armed Forces
Applicants must demonstrate financial need
Assistance Services & Requirements
Mortgage Assistance
- Must be home owner & must provide most current mortgage statement
- Must reside at property
Rental Assistance
- Must provide current & active Rental Lease Agreement
- Must provide past due notice from landlord
Utilities Assistance
- Must reside at property for which assistance is requested
- Must provide most current utility bill
Food Voucher & Transportation Assistance
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need
