Community Health Worker or Promotor(a) Training & Certification Program
The Community Health Worker (CHW) or Promoto(a) Training and Certification Program provides leadership to enhance the development and implementation of statewide training and certification standards. It also provides administrative rules for persons who are certified as promotores or community health workers, instructors and sponsoring institutions/training programs. The program provides three (3) types of certifications, assists the CHW Advisory Committee and provides resources, reports, articles and research materials to assist current and future community health workers.
