digdeep & ayuda
In 2023, DigDeep and AYUDA teamed up to launch a Septic Tank Program in El Paso, aiming to help 100 low-income families. The program includes inspections for all 100 families, cleanings for 75, and replacement of broken systems for 25. AYUDA aids DigDeep by reaching out to communities, assessing families’ needs, and determining eligibility. Overall, the program is projected to benefit more than 350 residents in El Paso County, making it the second successful partnership between the two organizations.
In 2022, AYUDA and DigDeep joined forces for a special project – the Cochran playground groundbreaking. This playground was a much-needed addition to a community that had been without running water for over 30 years. Alongside the playground installation, AYUDA distributed essential supplies like water and food to the residents of Cochran. DigDeep’s Colonia Water Project team accomplished their first successful water project in El Paso, thanks in part to AYUDA’s collaboration. In a way to show their gratitude for their collaboration, DigDeep bought the playground lot and then sold it to AYUDA for just $1. Today, AYUDA plays a vital role in maintaining this vital community space.
AYUDA has consistently played a valuable role in supporting DigDeep’s projects in El Paso County. With their successful collaborations in the past, DigDeep looks forward to continuing their partnership with AYUDA and working together to address water access gaps as well as serve communities in need.
